The importance of a feedback in growing a business

Feedback is simply customers' perceptions of a product or service. Collecting feedback is a good source of information on improving the quality of a product or service and the overall customer experience. One way to ensure the best customer experience is to encourage feedback and pay attention to details.

This will help to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
There are various forms of feedback; it could be product feedback which is basically what a customer thinks about a product. This type of feedback helps ensure that products meet consumer needs, and it can also lead to the creation of new products.

Customer service feedback involves interaction with a business and its customer support team. Customers do not want to buy from a company with poor customer service. Since there are usually many alternatives and substitute for a product or service, the lack of good customer service can lead to the loss of customers. It is, therefore, essential to know what customers think to make improvements and adjustments.

Customer satisfaction feedback helps build customer retention because satisfaction is linked with loyalty. When customers are satisfied with a product or service, they are most likely to return and refer others.

Complaints are also a form of feedback; according to Bill Gates, “Your most unhappy customers are your greatest source of learning” it is wrong to Sales Plan shun negative feedback from your customers because if complaints are not dealt with on time, customers are most likely to go elsewhere, or worse turn it into a PR nightmare by publicly airing and addressing their complaints.
There are also numerous channels to receive customer feedback, including; social media and online reviews, surveys (customer satisfaction survey, net promoter score) and polls, E-mails, customer contact forms, In-App feedback, Website feedback widgets, customer interviews, etc.

Businesses should encourage customer feedback and strive to achieve at least 80% positive feedback because “the goal as a company is to have customer service that is not just the best, but legendary”- Sam Walton (founder of Walmart).
